Obama Policies Promote Class Warfare and Ignore Income Tax Inequality

Texas businessman and American Citizen Party 2016 Presidential candidate Bob McNeil makes the case that Obama’s policies actually promote class warfare and inequality.  If implemented, they represent change that will take America backward rather than forward.

“Class warfare is a tool used by tyrants to cause unrest among the People and is just one of the many tools used by this President to advance his plan to destroy America from within.  Class warfare is rooted in envy (a feeling of discontent and resentment aroused by and in conjunction with desire for the possessions or qualities of another).” [source: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/envy]

In a recent speech, President Obama used the word “inequality” 26 times, referring to the income disparity between a CEO and an average worker.

“Since 1979, our economy has more than doubled in size, but most of that growth has flowed to a fortunate few,” the president said in his December speech to the liberal Center for American Progress.  “Whereas in the past, the average CEO made about 20 to 30 times the income of the average worker, today’s CEO now makes 273 times more.”

To advance the class warfare agenda, the Stop Subsidizing Multimillion Dollar Corporate Bonuses Act  sponsored by Democratic Senators Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut and Jack Reed of Rhode Island, would cap the tax deductibility of CEO pay at $1 million.

Of course, he says nothing about the inequality of the pay of his mega-rich Hollywood friends who make $20 million per film, or about sports stars with $100 million contracts.

To address the inequity, the president is expected to propose a higher minimum wage, universal preschool and job training—expensive programs that could require higher taxes.

What will he do about Income Tax inequality?

Administration officials have proposed making the tax code more progressive while also raising the revenues needed to pay for progressive spending programs.  But, there’s a problem, and the President’s policies only promise to make it worse.

“We are now at a point where the top one percent pay more in federal income taxes than the bottom 90 percent,” said Tax Foundation economist Kyle Pomerleau.  That means approximately 1.36 million taxpayers are burdened with a larger share of the federal income tax than the bottom 90 percent—or 122 million taxpayers—according to data compiled by the nonpartisan Tax Foundation.  Their study reveals the top 50 percent of taxpayers, those making over $35,000, account for a whopping 97 percent of all federal income taxes.  “The more politicians push to take from the top and give to the bottom, the slower our economic growth,” Pomerleau said.

“This,” says Bob McNeil, “is the essence of progressivism and why, as a political philosophy, it is ill-suited for a Constitutional Republic like the United States of America.”

In “The Art of War”, Sun Tzu said “To win without fighting is best.”

“My 21st Century economic plan eliminates both the corporate and individual income tax, returning $5 Trillion to the People (not borrowed or printed) and stimulating the U.S. economy from the bottom up, thereby bringing President Kennedy’s words to life – “A Rising tide lifts all boats,” asserts McNeil.

With the end of the income tax comes the end of filing tax returns, which means the end of knowing how much money a person earns, which means the end of the data that the Progressives use to advance their class warfare agenda, which means the end of the class warfare argument, which means a country united, free, and prosperous for those willing to work.

McNeil admonishes, “We the People will never be free until we rid our government of Progressives in both major parties and elect true ‘citizen representatives’ to go to Washington and repeal the laws that have taken our liberty and prosperity from us over the last 100 years.  That is the objective of the ’21st Century American Revolution’.”

Hello America,

My name is Bob McNeil, founder of the American Citizen Party, and candidate for President of the United States in 2016.

I describe myself as “an ordinary man living an extraordinary life”.

I am:

  • A professional business consultant with an accounting degree and 35 years of experience auditing multi-billion dollar corporations, here in the United States, and in a number of countries around the world.
  • A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 through 1974.
  • A father of two daughters.
  • A grandfather of three beautiful children.
  • A trusted friend to many.

I have been disillusioned with our two-party political system for quite a while now, but, rather than complain about it, I decided to do something about it.

So, using a lifetime of experience, plus the analytical skills I have acquired during my career as a professional auditor, I set out to write a plan that would spark the “21st Century American Revolution”.

Knowing the dangers of that exercise from the people in power, and to ensure its success, I established the following criteria for the plan:

  • It must be constitutional;
  • It must be peaceful;
  • It must transcend race, religion, age, gender, political affiliation, economic status, and all other things that the politicians and the media  use to divide us as a nation, and;
  • It must restore liberty and prosperity to ALL American citizens.

In 2008, after one year of research and writing, I emerged with the plan.  I formed the American Citizen Party in 2009 to serve as the platform from which to implement it, and have talked to millions of Americans about it in person, on the radio and in my blogs since then.

Now, it is time to go nationwide in order to build momentum for the 2014 election and my 2016 Presidential run.

If you yearn for liberty and prosperity like you’ve never before experienced, this is the political party you’ve been searching for.

Get involved.  Sign up with your email address to receive my blogs. Contribute money to further the cause of liberty for yourself, your children, and future generations of Americans.

Together, we can, and we will, take back our country and restore it to its greatness.

The only way my plan will fail is if you continue to vote Democrats and Republicans into office, or worse, if you do nothing.

Take charge of your future.  If you don’t, someone else will.

In freedom,

Bob McNeil
