Topic: FBI conspiring to grab Veterans guns
TALK SHOW GUEST: Alan Gottlieb
Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and the Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation is sounding the alarm over an FBI memorandum, dated Feb. 2012 and recently made available to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) which orders the Veterans Administration to place veterans on a “watch list” for arbitrary and ill-defined reasons.
“While it is appropriate for the Veterans Administration to treat veterans who are suffering from well defined emotional problems that might indicate a propensity for violence, the memorandum is worded so vaguely that virtually any veteran receiving any treatment at a VA hospital could find themselves on the list and be denied the right to a firearm” notes Gottlieb.
The Daily Caller interviewed veteran Douglas Szklarski who told his story of why his gun was confiscated:
I was getting real sick from the medications they had me on,” I pretty much lived in bed. Somebody brought me a joint. I started using cannabis. It started turning me around immediately. So I said I wouldn’t [take the VA pills] anymore. They said you have to take them. They deemed me incompetent.
“I’ve had like nine doctors say I wasn’t incompetent and they still went after my guns,” Szklarski added. “ATF came to my house. I had to surrender them.”
