Because We Are at War

Because We Are at War

Counter-terrorism expert and former FBI agent John Guandolo (author of Raising a Jihadi Generation) states, “Twelve years after the Jihadist attack on America on September 11, 2001, American leaders and the American people remain woefully ignorant regarding the threat posed by the Global Islamic Movement.”

Indeed, a study of the Islamic threat remains a forbidden topic in policymaking and military circles. Our leaders and planners refuse to come to grips with the overwhelming evidence indicating that the 9/11 hijackers did not distort Islamic sharia law that day but rather they executed it. The hijackers did not twist Islamic law that day but rather they fulfilled it.

In 2005, the leader of Al Qaeda, Ayman al Zawahiri said:

I say to you that we are in a battle, and that more than half of this battle is taking place in the battlefield of the media.  We are in a media battle in a race for the hearts and minds of our Ummah (global Muslim community).

The Bush White House established the culture of denial in official circles with the 2008 publication of a lexicon of enemy threat doctrine  that omitted the words Islam and jihad. President Obama has ramped up this policy of denial.

In 2012, five Republican Members of Congress laid out the evidence of a Muslim Brotherhood network in America and asked the Inspector Generals of key agencies to investigate.  The investigation was stymied by, among others, Republican Congressmen John McCain, John Boehner, Marco Rubio and Eric Cantor.

How can it be that leaders of American Islamic organizations that are connected to the Muslim Brotherhood advise Democratic and Republican organizations and the FBI, CIA, and DHS?

In 2012, Obama’s Department of Justice ordered the removal of hundreds of pages of anti-Islam educational material from the training programs of the FBI and other agencies. On February 15, 2012, Muslim Brotherhood backed Islamic leaders applauded these changes at a briefing attended by FBI Director Robert Mueller.  On April 24, Joint Chiefs Chairman Martin E. Dempsey ordered a similar purge of information from military training calling for all military agencies to ensure that they were not disseminating materials that might be construed as disrespectful of the Islamic religion

What, exactly, defines dis-respectful to Islam? An honest examination of the Koran and other Islamic texts that are devoutly followed by the jihadists? Is it wrong to consider Islamic leadership attitudes toward women, infidels, homosexuals, Jews and Christians? Is it inappropriate to reckon honestly with customs and agendas associated with Sharia law?

Friends, our enemy intimidated local school boards, civic groups, universities, and political circles who fear the labelIslamophobic.

Advising our senior leaders, controlling the language we use to describe the threat, and shutting down any critique of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Doctrine are their goals.  It appears they are batting a thousand.

While we distract ourselves with Counterterrorism – things that go boom and people who want to make them go boom, we ignore the insidious inroads made by well-dressed Islamic fanatics who work the halls of power and influence as they promote their agendas and run interference with law enforcement and defense.

Will we continue to let Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Al Qaeda leaders teach our military and law enforcement about Islam and the Brotherhood? Will we turn a blind eye as Hamas builds $100 million dollar Islamic Centers across America, centers which their own documents state will be called forth as military outposts from which jihad will be launched at the most opportune time?

Friends, until we realize how dire the situation is, we cannot even begin to discuss solutions. Once you understand how dire the situation is, the solutions required become a whole lot clearer.
