BELLEVUE, WA – The federal district court judge handling the Second Amendment Foundation’s challenge to the District of Columbia’s “good reason” concealed carry permit requirement has denied the city’s request for an immediate administrative stay of his ruling last week granting a preliminary injunction against further enforcement of the requirement. The District is also seeking a stay pending appeal.

Judge Frederick J. Scullin Jr., announced his decision this morning, and set two important dates. By June 22, SAF and its co-plaintiffs must file papers opposing the city’s stay pending appeal request, and the city must respond by June 26. This development is seen as a clear win by SAF founder and Executive Vice President Alan M. Gottlieb. Continue Reading →

Chicago Violence Taskforce reports-Culture of Abuse Amongst Teens

Topic: Chicago Violence Taskforce reports-Culture of Abuse Amongst Teens

Kathy Motlagh

unnamed (1) A recent study by the University of Chicago revealed that abuse in teenage relationships is both prevalent and, surprisingly, accepted. Of the Chicago youth that were surveyed, 68% reported themselves as victims of adolescent relationship abuse, and 65% identify as having experienced psychological abuse specifically. Psychological abuse is the same type of emotional manipulation that a bully might leverage on its victims.

The survey subjects were all in committed relationships, which indicates that teenagers typically make an active decision to forgive psychological abuse. Why? One factor may be their inexperience; they simply don’t know what a relationship is supposed to be like. As a society we can combat violence among teens by teaching our children to not only identify unhealthy behaviors in relationships, but also to confront the situation either by opening a discussion or walking away. Another factor in why teens accept abuse in a relationship may be that they don’t consider the behavior to be negative, or at least not negative enough. Consider this astounding statistic: 62% of respondents admitted to participating in psychological abuse themselves. Knowing that, generally, survey respondents are less likely to admit to these types of behaviors, and because the disparity in this study between victims and participants is so small, it seems that the culture of disrespect among teenagers in Chicago is simply accepted. “Islam is the Religion of War”

TOPIC: “Islam is the Religion of War”
BY John Guandolo / MAY 18, 2015

JG_Promo  GUEST: John Guandolo- Founder of Understanding the Threat

When the leader of the Islamic State, al Baghdadi, said “Islam is not the religion of peace, Islam is the religion of war,” he meant it.

Here are 6 reasons indicating al Baghdadi is correct:

1. Islamic World is United in Teaching Jihad Must Be Waged Until Islam Rules the World

At Al Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt – the most pre-eminent school of Islamic jurisprudence in the world and the oldest – they teach the purpose of Islam is to destroy the Dar al Harb (House of War) until the entire world is the Dar al Islam (House of Islam) and Sharia (Islamic Law) is the law of the land. The vehicle to do this is called “Jihad” which is only defined in Sharia as “warfare against non-Muslims.”

In Islamic schools across, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Central/South America, Mexico, Asia, and North America, first graders are taught that Islam must rule the world, and Christians and Jews are to be hated by Muslims.

100% of all published Sharia mandates jihad until a Caliphate is created and Sharia is the “Law of the Land” across the globe. 100% of all published Sharia only defines “jihad” as “warfare against non-Muslims.”

Note: It is a capital crime in Islam for a Muslim to teach another Muslim something that is incorrect about Islam. Continue Reading →

headshot-alan-gottlieb Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and the Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, is calling out the Center for American Progress for proposing a merge between the ATF and the FBI in order to enforce stricter gun control. The Center for American Progress, a left-wing think tank funded by top the 1% wealthy fat-cat liberal Americans such as George Soros, Peter Lewis and accused mortgage swindlers Herb and Marion Sandler, conducted a study which predictably concluded that the two agencies should be merged for more vigorous enforcement of gun laws. Where is Nadir Soofi Buried?

Nadir Soofi- JG TOPIC: Where is Nadir Soofi Buried?

BY John Guandolo / MAY 8, 2015

GUEST: John Guandolo- Founder of Understanding the Threat

The funeral for one of the two jihadis killed by police in Garland, Texas last Sunday – Nadir Soofi – was held at the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood’s Islamic Society of Greater Kansas City (ISGKC) this week.  Soofi’s father has been a member at the ISGKC for over five years and was “very close” to his son.  Similar to his accomplice Elton “Ibrahim” Simpson, whose ties to the MB’s Islamic Community Center of Phoenix were detailed in Wednesday’s Understanding the Threat (UTT) article, Soofi’s funeral in Kansas City raises questions because the ISGKC is ground zero for the Muslim Brotherhood in that part of the country. How much do you know about Jihad?- A Conversation About the Jihadi Threat

GUEST: John Guandolo

Recently I had a frank conversation with someone whom I respect, yet who is blind to the threat posed by the Global Islamic Movement.  I often hear from many UTT followers about their experiences sharing their concern about this threat with otherwise intelligent, caring, and reasonable people who do not take it seriously and end up defending Islam because they know a friendly Muslim.
