“Once again a Federal Judge actually read the Constitution,” notes Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms and Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation when commenting on a landmark gun control decision rendered by Washington DC Federal Judge Frederick Scullin. The judge overturned the city’s total ban on carrying handguns outside the home saying it is unconstitutional.
The Second Amendment Foundation has spearheaded this five year effort as the court has engaged in interminable delays.
In the PALMER v. DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA case Judge Scullin ruled that:
