Tuesday, February 25th, 2014   BELLEVUE, WA – The FBI’s semi-annual uniform crime data for the first half of 2013 confirms once again what the firearms community already knew, that violent crime has continued to decline while gun sales have continued to climb, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

The report, issued last week, says murders declined 6.9 percent from the first half of 2012, while aggravated assaults dropped by 6.6 percent nationwide and robberies were down 1.8 percent. Forcible rapes declined 10.6 percent from the same period in 2012 and overall, violent crime fell by 10.6 percent in non-metropolitan counties and 3.6 percent in metropolitan counties.

“This new information reinforces the notion that not only do guns save lives, their presence in the hands and homes of law-abiding citizens just might be a deterrent to crime,” observed CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “The National Shooting Sports Foundation has been reporting a steady increase in firearm sales for the past few years. Taken as a whole, one cannot help but conclude that the predictions from gun prohibitionists that more guns leads to more crime have been consistently wrong.” Continue Reading →

Jamaat al-Fuqra Terror Training Camps In U.S. – Confirmed

John Guandolo, former FBI agent and author of Raising a Jihadi Generation: Understanding the Muslim Brotherhood Movement in America, reports that declassified FBI documents definitively confirm the connection between a shadowy terror cell located in Texas and Jamaat al-Fuqra, a terrorist network with over 20 compounds scattered across the United States. Jamaat al-Fuqra is led from Pakistan by radical cleric Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani who was implicated in the beheading of Wall Street Journalist Daniel Pearl.

Members of Jamaat al-Fuqra, described by the State Department as “an Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence,” have been arrested for more than a dozen murders, fire-bombings, gun running, drug trafficking and defrauding government agencies amongst other crimes. Jamaat al-Fuqra is headquartered in the village of Islamberg near Hancock, NY.  Other Jamaat al-Fuqra locations include Hagerstown, MD, Falls Church, VA, York, SC, Dover, TN, Buena Vista, CO, Talihina, OK as well as Tulare County and Squaw Valley, both in CA.  Additionally, large complexes have been established in Red House, VA and Commerce, GA near Macon, and training camps are located just across the border in Metro Toronto, Ontario Canada.

Jamaat al-Fuqra maintains a tax exempt front group called Muslims of the Americas, with offices  in Tallahassee, FL, Binghamton, NY, Springfield, MA, Dover, DE and Roanoke, VA. Continue Reading →

Monday, February 24th, 2014 , WA – The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms today offered a “21-gun salute” to Piers Morgan, who acknowledged that his gun control extremism is at least partially responsible for his devastating ratings and the looming cancellation of his evening program on CNN.
“We’re offering a 21-gun salute to Piers Morgan for admitting that his push for gun control killed his ratings and his show,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb.
Morgan, in an interview with the New York Times about his impending departure, acknowledged, “Look, I am a British guy debating American cultural issues, including guns, which has been very polarizing, and there is no doubt that there are many in the audience who are tired of me banging on about it.”
Gottlieb said this was not simply a case of Morgan, a British citizen, being the proverbial “fish out of water.”
“He’s been more like a bull in a china shop when it comes to having a rational, reasonable discussion about firearms civil rights in the United States,” said Gottlieb, who had appeared last October on Morgan’s program for a feisty, combative debate. “The guy just can’t control his nasty temperament toward the right to keep and bear arms. Maybe he holds a grudge about Lexington and Concord. Continue Reading →

Former Supreme Court Justice Takes Aim at Second Amendment

In his upcoming book, Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution, retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens will call for an end to the right of the American citizen to keep and bear arms as recognized by the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

In his book Stevens will suggest that this could be accomplished by adding five words to the Second Amendment which he says should read as follows:

A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the militia shall not be infringed.

Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms  and Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, asks, “What part of ‘the right of the people to keep and bear arms’ does former U. S. Supreme Court judge Paul Stevens still not get. It is not a collective right. It is an individual right. That’s why it is part of the Bill of Rights. And states and cities can not infringe on it!” Continue Reading →

American Freedom Hanging by a Thread

Texas businessman and 2016 American Citizen Party presidential candidate Bob McNeil expresses an alarm that is shared by growing numbers of Americans on all points of the political spectrum. McNeil worries that it’s too late for America to be restored to Constitutional values and Founding Principles.

“Our future as a free nation is at stake, and most Americans haven’t a clue in terms of how close our nation is to becoming an outright police state,” warns McNeil.

“We are on the verge of financial catastrophe with a 17+ Trillion dollar unsustainable national debt, chronic levels of unemployment and a healthcare system that is under full-scale attack by our own government.”

America is rapidly becoming a hyper-nationalistic state with NSA spying, the IRS acting like the Gestapo, Common Core Curriculum taking the minds and spirits of our vulnerable children, environmental policy transferred piece-meal to Agenda 21, an international bureaucratic octopus and the militarization of our local police departments with SWAT training and equipment. Meanwhile, the Department of Homeland Security is stockpiling millions of rounds of hollow-point bullets, and the EPA, and other federal agencies, are assuming unprecedented and unconstitutional fiat power.

President Obama is openly bragging about governing by means of executive orders. In July, 2012 Obama signed the Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions which authorizes executive control of the “means of production” in a situation of national emergency. Such a vaguely defined “emergency” might come down the pike at any time. American freedom is truly hanging by a thread. Continue Reading →

BELLEVUE, WA – Thirty-four members of Congress including Mississippi Senator Thad Cochran have signed onto an amicus curiae brief in the Second Amendment Foundation’s case of Drake v. Jerejian, which asks the U.S. Supreme Court to determine whether the Second Amendment secures the right to carry handguns outside the home for self-defense.

The case, which is joined by the Association of New Jersey Rifle & Pistol Clubs, also asks the high court to clarify the standard of review governing Second Amendment claims involving restrictions on the right of law-abiding adults to carry handguns outside the home. This case challenges New Jersey’s arbitrary requirement that carry permit applicants demonstrate a “justifiable need” to carry a handgun outside the home. Continue Reading →

“The Islamists’ – and their Enablers’ – Assault on the Right: The Case Against Grover Norquist and Suhail Khan”

On Tuesday afternoon, February 11th, the Center for Security Policy delivered copies of an affidavit-style document – signed by senior U.S. National Security officials, including John Guandolo – to the leadership of the American Conservative Union (ACU) and Republican State Legislator Cleta Mitchell of Oklahoma which unequivocally destroys her claims that “no evidence” exists tying Republican strategist and Tax Reform leader Grover Norquist and “conservative Republican” muslim Suhail Khan to jihadi/terrorist/”extremist” organizations and individuals.

The Statement of Facts detailed in this document specifically demonstrates that both men are involved in directly supporting leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas, and Al Qaeda in America.

Specifically, Suhail Khan – who was serving in the White House on 9/11, and who worked directly for two Secretaries of Transportation among other assignments – is the son of one of the founders of the Muslim Brotherhood in America…Mahboob Khan.  Khan founded the largest Muslim Brotherhood organization in North America – the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) – as well as the Hamas organization, Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR).   Khan’s mother works for Hamas in California, and he openly supports jihadis.  Specifically, he openly praised and pronounced his respect for, and friendship with, convicted Al Qaeda financier Abdurahman Alamoudi.

Grover Norquist, the man who, along with Newt Gingrich, led the 1994 “Republican Revolution” and is a “leader” in the conservative movement, is the registered agent for the Islamic Free Market Institute in Washington, DC, which was created with $20,000 provided directly by Al Qaeda operative Alamoudi from his personal bank account and led by jihadi Khaled Saffuri.  It was Norquist who helped get jihadis (or “terrorists” if you prefer) Sami al Arian, Abdurahman Alamoudi, Nihad Awad, and others into the Bush White House.

Norquist and Khan work very close together, and Norquist openly defends Khan. Continue Reading →

US DHS and State Department Disregard US Law and Supreme Court Ruling and Allow Terrorist Supporters to Become Citizens

On February 5th, the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Department of State issued a “Notice of Determination” in which it unconstitutionally disregarded U.S. law and the 2010 Supreme Court ruling by creating policy allowing individuals who have materially supported terrorism to become U.S. citizens.

Specifically, the relevant portions of the “Notice” reads:  “The Secretary of Homeland Security and the Secretary of State, in consultation with the Attorney General, hereby conclude, as a matter of discretion in accordance with the authority granted by INA section 212(d)(3)(B)(i), 8 U.S.C. 1182(d)(3)(B)(i), as amended, as well as the foreign policy and national security interests deemed relevant in these consultations, that paragraphs 212(a)(3)(B)(iv)(VI)(bb) and (dd) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B)(iv)(VI)(bb) and (dd), shall not apply with respect to an alien who provided limited material support to an organization described in section 212(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B)(vi)(III), or to a member of such an organization, or to an individual described in section 212(a)(3)(B)((iv)(VI)(bb) of the INA, 8 U.S.C. 1182(a)(3)(B)(iv)(VI)(bb).”

Translation:  People providing material support to terrorist organizations which this Administration deems as “minor” (as defined later in the notice) will not be subject to US Criminal Code (Title 8) nor the provisions of the “Immigration and Naturalization Act.” Continue Reading →

End Run Around the Constitution?

“President Obama has stated publically that he intends to do an end run around the Constitution,” notes Texas businessman and American Citizen Party 2016 presidential candidate Bob McNeil.

In his weekly radio address on February 8th, President Obama said:
” I want to work with Congress on this agenda where I can. But in this year of action, whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, I will.

“Obama is couching his attempt at a fiat power-grab in classic agitprop language claiming he’s doing it for the people, but Americans should not be fooled,” warns McNeil.

The President is talking in generalities, the classic language of ideology as described by French scholar Alain Besancon. In his address Obama also stated:
We’ve got to build an economy that works for everyone, not just a fortunate few.

Exactly what does he have in mind when he talks about building an economy? Whatever he means by this type of sloganeering, he is setting the stage for not consulting the people and their elected representatives in Congress. Continue Reading →

Cuban Refugee Blasts Oregon Gun Control Proposal

Alan Gottlieb, Chairman of the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms  and Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, applauds the testimony of Manuel Martinez  who passionately spoke out at an Oregon hearing over proposed gun control legislation.Martinez, a political prisoner who escaped from a Communist Cuban prison in 1962, testified:

“Don’t sell me this. A very powerful man tried to sell me this 50-something years ago, I didn’t buy it.”
“This is Marxism, plain and clear They had this dog and pony show where they said hey.. We’re going to protect you. But what they did was to enslave a country. They destroyed a country the same way that this country is going to be destroyed if we continue with this plan.” Continue Reading →
